Had to shout out my favorite Pho restaurant again, Mộng Thu Cafe. I wrote a review on the restaurant in a previous article; please give it a read!
Best known for its use of fish broth. Very affordable Pho and Banh Mi sandwich options. It’s a family run business ran by owner Kim Lien Nguyen. Show some love!
My favorite is Bun Bo Hue: Spicy beef soup with pork and rice noodles

Mayor Breed’s latest plan to revive downtown S.F.: Moving city workers into empty buildings
San Francisco Mayor London Breed has requested city real estate agencies, including the SF School District, to explore leasing space in the FiDi to revive downtown office buildings and create housing opportunities elsewhere.
The initiative is part of Breed's plan to revitalize downtown San Francisco, which includes easing zoning restrictions and repurposing buildings. The city aims to invest in high-quality office space for workers while freeing up land or buildings for housing.
San Francisco's office rental rates have dropped by 28% since 2019, with an all-time high office vacancy rate of over 31%. The city government's increased presence in downtown is seen as a positive move by industry experts to energize the area and take advantage of the market shift.
Wilmer Flores' home runs lead SF Giants to 11-10 victory over Reds
The San Francisco Giants survived a stormy game against the Cincinnati Reds, pushing their record to 54-41.
Wilmer Flores hit a solo home run, but the Reds took the lead with two two-run homers.
The game was filled with wild moments, including injuries, pitcher changes, and multiple lead changes. The Giants ultimately won 11-10, with Camilo Doval closing out the game.
SF Mayor London Breed will reportedly face another 2024 challenger: a Levi Strauss heir
Daniel Lurie, an heir to the Levi Strauss fortune and founder of Tipping Point Community, is reportedly planning to challenge San Francisco Mayor London Breed in the upcoming election.
Lurie has been hosting gatherings to rally support and has started recruiting staff with the help of political consultant Tyler Law.
San Francisco voters have shown dissatisfaction with Breed's performance, particularly concerning issues like drugs, public safety, homelessness, and housing affordability. Another prominent challenger, District 11 Supervisor Ahsha SafaÃ, has already announced their campaign for mayor.

San Francisco tech firm gets rid of nearly all employees, cuts CEO salary by half
Manufacturing startup Tempo Automation, which went public less than a year ago, has laid off the majority of its employees, retaining only seven staff members, including the CEO.
The company's chief financial officer also resigned as part of the corporate restructuring.
Tempo Automation's decision to cut its workforce and reduce executive salaries is aimed at reducing corporate overhead due to negative cash flows and operational uncertainties. The company reported a net loss of $7.4 million in the first quarter of 2023.
